Description
This is a survivor car. One owner, who I think it was his only car, purchased one month after passing his driving test in June 1955. He then owned it for at least 39 years. It was delivered to Belgium, hence the side repeaters and sliding sunroof that still works.
The car has always been (well) garage maintained and still has it's original paint which is now in need of lacquer or a respray.
Has had one rear wing replaced, the other needs a repair. The front wings are very good. There is rust on the driver's front inner wing and both rear inners. Underneath it is all solid, having had the front outriggers welded in 1974 after failing the MOT. There is a lot of history with the car.
This lovely Austin comes with a new carpet set and has been rewired. It would benefit from a new headlining. The back seat is good, the fronts need recovering as do the door cards, unless you like the patina.
This is a running and driving car which needs the handbrake adjusting, I don't have time as I have a lot of work currently. Windows and locks work. Comes with a windscreen rubber ready to fit. This is a very unusual survivor car still wearing it's original paint with a lot of history. Can be driven, only the back brakes need adjusting
Cheap to clear
