This is my 1997 Toyota RAV4 Stax Special Edition. It has been cherished and the condition reflects how well it has been looked after.
It is MOTd until August 2025 so is ready to jump in and go. The personalised registration R4 VPV comes with the car.
The colour is Blue Mirage, which is beautiful and unique to the Stax Special Edition, which was offered in a choice of 3 different colours. The colour is beautiful and really pops in the sun. The is some lacquer peel under the rear screen and on the roof which is quite common on theses cars. This doesn't detract from the cars beautiful looks though.
This is the pre-facelift model which ran from 1994 to 1997. It has the more scarce twin lift out sunroof option. These are stored on brackets fixed to the inside of the tailgate when not in use. They are easily removed and replaced. This gives the car the feel of a convertible but without the hassle of a soft top.
The interior is also unique to the star Special Edition and is in lovely condition.
The engine is the renowned Toyota 2. 0L petrol version which is well known for it's longevity. These cars are super reliable and really quite nippy. It is a 5 speed manual and is a real pleasure to drive. A car you can jump in a drive anywhere.
The mileage is 138, 000. As long as they are regularly serviced, these cars will just go on and on whilst remaining reliable transport.
This is a really cool and funky car and attracts attention wherever it goes. I really don't think there are many cooler or great value for money cars out there in this price range.
