Description
We are sad to sell our families first campervan "Marge".
We've had her for about 7 years and after loads of adventures up and down the country and even over to France it's time to get a larger motorhome and let a new family start their campervan journey.
The bodywork has the usual lumps and bumps but nothing out of the ordinary for a van her age. I was more concerned with keeping her dry than how she looks from the outside.
Marge has the following standard elements:
Gas hob and grill
3 way fridge
Cassette toilet
Water heater (disconnected)
Tons of storage
This is a fantastic starter van for anyone who wants to dip their toe in vanlife in for a small investment.
We never felt the need to install power steering and the gears are typical of her age but easy to get used to it or upgrade if you're feeling flash
Please come and see her in Manchester the details below to book a viewingIts a 34 year old van so im sure there is a lot of history that we dont know.
IN the last 7 years we have looked after Marge like she is one of the family.
We got her from a transport manager so her welding was tip top when we got her (the MOT guy was impressed) and shes only needed a tiny bit in 7 years under the wheel arches since.
She flew through the last MOT which runs to May 25 and is in terrific shape for her age. Starts first time and runs very smooth. The van drives well, pulls great on the motorway and will sit at 60 all day.
I've done tons of work on her myself (one of the best things about a van this age is how simple they are to fix) including:
Rear brake rebuild
Handbrake cable replaced
New exhaust system
CV boots, belts and bulbs
Replaced front seats
Added 3 point seatbelts to the rear seats (along with steel frame seats to make it super safe) so that car seats can be used.
The curtains and cushions were new about 4 years ago and it got a paint job to get rid of the awful 90s beige.
