Description
Hello and welcome to my listing for this stunning example of a Coupe.
I purchased the car in November 2025 after wanting one since I saw a blue Coupe fly up Santa Pod drag strip around 20 years ago.
I've spared no expense getting the car to the very best condition I can.
Obviously I'd like to keep it but I'm fortunate enough to also own a Mitsubishi Evo 9 FQ-360 which is my main weekend car so the Coupe would just be parked up not being used.
Here's a list of what I have done within the past 2-3 months and then below that list I will include what work the (just) 4 previous owners have had done.
-Boot spray and touch ups £400
-4x Michelin pilot sport 5 £650
-All new brakes (Mtec rear discs, green stuff pads, front Brembo pads, front discs as new condition) £300
-5x Bosch ignition coils £300
-5x NGK iridium spark plugs £55
-Fresh oil and filter 1k miles ago £140
-Auto Sportivo changed out steering rack and turbo actuator plug £430
-Italia Autos changed out front off side arch liner, new driver door cable, both rear brake cables, front nearside wheel bearing and health check £600
-Cam cover respray £150
-Fresh 12 month MOT (expires 13th May 2027) £40
-Exhaust leak sorted with bolted flange at Custom Chrome Nuneaton £108
-Full valet and plastic restore just completed £250
-stage 1 Gtec chip done at Auto Sportivo within last 500 miles £150
Then the main service work to point out for previous work which doesn't include all the smaller stuff like oil changes, suspension bushes etc are as follows.
-New alternator, timing belt kit including tensioners carried out at Auto Sportivo at 74, 100 miles (current mileage 77, 250) in 2024 £1057. 47
-New clutch at 50, 643 miles in 2013 meaning clutch has just 26k miles wear £662. 50
-New turbo at 47, 223 miles in 2005 £200 (would of course be more now) so turbo only had around 30k miles of wear
-New battery April 2024 £95. 62
So as you can see all the main maintenance work which can be quite costly on these has been taken care of by the top specialists in the country (Auto Sportivo Bedford & Italia Autos Walsall).
When I say this car is ready to jump in and go to shows or cruise on summer road trips I really mean it.
Of course you must remember it is a 28 year old car with 77k miles so you can't expect a brand new car but mechanically it's sound and overall presents very nicely.
Pricing wise I have checked to see that on Autotrader there are 2 other LE models for sale. A red one which is £16, 995 and looks to be in good condition but still has some bits to tidy up. Also a silver example which has no MOT and looks to require quite a bit of work which is priced at £12, 995.
If you have always wanted an LE version of this car which comes with all the bits like Sparco pedals and strut brace as well as push button start then I wouldn't hang about with getting in touch.
It's also worth mentioning the 2 example mentioned above are high numbered cars and mine is car number 0015 meaning it is more desirable to a collector.
If you've made it this far then you're a proper car enthusiast so I look forward to answering your questions.
Regards ChrisThe car makes a great sound having the original catalytic converter still fitted but mated to a stainless steel system behind the cat.
Pulls hard in 3rd gear especially so you do need to watch the speedo to stay reasonably legal.
The fact that all the parts have been upgraded to modern items makes the car drive much more modern.
The looks of appreciation and thumbs up you get from people on a Sunday drive.
