1991 Mk1 Caddy, 116, 000 miles. MOT until July 2025.
Mostly original paint, with all necessary welding to the underside professionally completed. A completely solid, honest example. Truck bed & Tailgate un-restored and in a near-straight condition. Undersize wax-oiled.
1. 6 Turbo Diesel, with 5 Speed Gearbox.
Front lowered on Coil-overs and Axel flip on the rear.
Period accurate G60 Steel wheels. Not a show truck but an honest and solid example, currently driven daily. I have known this truck for the last 9 years, my brother in law owning it before me and when I saw it come back up for sale I had to have it.
The original engine has been replaced with a 1. 6L turbo diesel from a golf of the similar period. Matched to a 5 speed box, making this car very drivable and comfortable at higher speeds compared to the original naturally aspirated diesel, alongside a 4 speed box. Whilst still returning an impressive economy of around 50mpg at daily use.
I have spent a fair bit of money getting all the necessary bodywork done allowing the car to remain solid for the future and regular servicing to make sure that it runs as it should… this is not a perfect/ show car but it is a joy to drive everyday and I hope the next owner cherishes it as much as I have.
