I'm selling my 1982 Honda XL 185S, which underwent a full nut and bolt restoration 10 years ago. Since then, it's been stored in a dehumidified and heated garage and hasn't been ridden, so it's still in excellent condition. The bike has 19, 360 miles on the clock, but it's not seen any time on the road since the restoration was completed.
Restoration Highlights:
Full respray and powder-coated frame
New wheel rims and respoked
Brand new tyres (still showing the rubber hairs from new)
Engine fully rebuilt, with all casings vapour blasted before being put back together
Fitted with a Micron exhaust
The bike is in excellent condition overall, having been treated with care and kept in ideal conditions since its restoration. The restoration included everything from paint to mechanical work. However, due to its time in storage, it will need some recommissioning to get it running perfectly again.
I'm selling the bike because a change in family circumstances means that despite is sentimental value, it deserves more than just sitting in the garage.
