Authenticated by Mercedes Benz as manufactured in Austria in August 1990 and first registered in Singapore with an indicated 10, 979km (not warrantied).
Imported into the UK and fully registered on 01/ 12/ 21 with a valid MOT expiring 07/ 11/ 26.
Finished in military green with a new green canopy roof and removable half height canvas doors with a "no frills" authentic interior with seats trimmed in green vinyl. Two forward facing seats and two temporary side facing jump seats in the rear. There is a large supplies / munitions box in the rear which includes a lubrication plan for the vehicle and confirms its use in the Singapore military.
The Wolf is powered by the legendary Mercedes Benz 2. 4 litre normally aspirated diesel engine with a 4-speed manual gearbox and selectable two / four wheel drive transfer box. The vehicle sits on 16-inch steel wheels with Michelin 4x4 tyres - these and the identical spare have plenty of tread. The vehicle remains fitted with a reversing klaxon!
For a 34-year old vehicle the condition is remarkably good and rust-free. The removable roof is new and the headlights have been replaced. A new factory-supplied Mercedes Benz windscreen and rubber surround are included - there is a crack in the driver side bottom corner and a small area of poorly repaired adjacent bodywork that ideally could be improved at the same time the screen is replaced. In addition, also included, are a handful of clasps to replace those that have perished where the removable roof attaches to the vehicle. Remarkably you can order parts for the vehicle from a UK Mercedes Benz parts department. The Wolf was originally purchased as a unique fun vehicle that was then going to be the subject of some tasteful upgrading primarily for summer use.
