Description
This 1976 Suzuki RE-5 Wankel (strictly original) won a silver medal at the FFVE Concours d’elegance, this year in Dinard. There’s nothing conventional, about this motorcycle, dressed in a finery signed by Giorgetto Giugiaro (internationally renowned automobile designer, knitter of absolute beauties such as the Fiat Dino, Lotus Esprit, or else Ferrari 250 GT…). The artist wanted to evoke the motorization, a. k. a. Rotary, with a bodywork all in curves. The result surprises, and this Suzuki never stays unnoticed. The rounded parts are countless, on the RE-5, and each echoes the rotating mechanic of the Wankel. Full history provided.
