MGA 1600 MK11 first registered 14th May 1962
NOW WITH FULL YEARS MOT AND REGISTRATION NUMBER INCLUDED IN PRICE.
Finished in old English white with leather interior.
Purchased in October 2005 from an RAF Officer, based at RAF Leeming . Was brought out of storage sometime later, whole car was stripped down and necessary body repairs all carried out to good standard.
Mechanical parts all replaced where necessary and upgraded. The engine was again all reconditioned thoroughly. Cylinder head had ports reshaped and polished, also fitted
with a fast road cam, all other mechanicals checked again, repaired or replaced where necessary.
Exhaust manifold replaced with easy flow type and treated with camcoat to dissipate heat in engine compartment. transmission removed and fitted with Ford type 5 speed gearbox brakes and suspension, again all refurbished .
Whole car painted inside, outside and underside to original O. E. W. Interior trim carpets re-trimmed as original , black hood and side screens all have been replaced. The car is one of the very last MK11 MGA's built with 1622 cc engine as MGB was launched later in that year of 1962.
A car in similar condition would be difficult to source. It has never been in the rain under my ownership of twenty years.
