The iconic Mk1 3. 4 saloon as driven by Moss, Hawthorn and Salvadori in saloon car races in the late 50’s
This Mk 1 was supplied to Clarke’s in Johannesburg in April 1958, and remained there for 45 years in a dry climate before being imported to Holland in 2003.
Hence the Jaguar is virtually rust free and original in every respect with even the original interior door cards and headlining being in excellent condition. The leather seats are all in perfect order with no tears or rips.
All chrome work is present and she had a matching set of 5 little used Michelin radial tyres.
This is a matching numbers Mk1 with genuine low mileage Moss gearbox with overdrive and excellent oil pressure, the instruments are all working correctly.
The Moto Lita steering wheel being smaller provides superb handling, the original larger Blumel steering wheel is also available
Latterly the MK1 was in France and there are receipts for various recommissioning works.
Finally the MKI entered the UK in 2021 and was duly registered with an age related Registration.
