I have owned this 1974 3. 0 CS 5 speed manual for 9 years, with 1 previous owner since it was imported from USA as a genuine rust free example with excellent mechanics.
Over the last few years I have spent a substantial amount of money to rebuild the car, including stripping the car completely, windows out, new paint, new leather interior, new carpets, new sound proofing, new headlining, restored wood trim, restored dashboard, refurbished wheels, new tires, new stainless steel bumpers, and carburetor rebuild. It has been rebuilt by a renowned restoration specialist.
I have been using the car regularly since then on dry days only, and it is the most exhilarating drivers car I have owned, being fast and nimble. It is a great car that drives beautifully, with the total spend on restoration in excess of £40, 000. I have kept a log of every expense. Everything works as it should except the sunroof has stopped opening, and the rev counter needs a chip to make it work since the car was upgraded to electronic ignition.
It is admired wherever I go, and the deep dark blue metallic paint looks fabulous. Now ready for a new owner to drive and enjoy this Summer.
