Well the time has come to test the market & see if I can move on to a Griff 500.
Here is my Cooper Green V8S - K1 VBS.
For those of you that went to TVR Heaven or Peaks to Beach last year would have seen K1 VBS proudly flying the Motaclan flag.
I bought it 2 years ago as a step up from the S3C and it needed some mechanical tlc!
So last year it had new outriggers, new rear trailing arms, new rear Gaz Gold Pro coilovers, new rear discs and pads, new OS Rear caliper (original seized).
The interior was also sorted with new premium wool carpets and dash re-veneered.
Up front it has had new bonnet brackets and new driving lamps, plus the addition of the prototype two stage, twin "puller" fan radiator cooling set up now in stock @ Motaclan.
The engine has a fast road cam and pulls stronly all the way to the red line. High flow thermostat, new stepper motor & new alternator.
All the fluids were changed in June 23 and serviced accordngly.
The OZ wheels were diamond cut and ceramic coated and shod with Rainsports in summer 2023.
All in all mechanically and electrically sorted, ultra reliable but definitely not a garage queen. I use the car whenever possible & it has been to France, Belgium & Holland in the last year as well as trips ranging from Blackpool to Cornwall in the UK.
Cosmetically the paint isn't perfect with a star on the passenger door and a few wear and tear marks gained over the years. I call her a 10 yard car - perfect from that distance but a few imperfections up close.
Any inspection welcome and can be viewed at Motaclan in Birmingham or Leamington Spa area. Fast and fun, mechanically & electrically sorted. Not a garage queen, regularly used and reliable!
