2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C (GRB)
This competition car was limited to 900 units for the Japanese market only and improves on 2009 Spec C (and making it twice as rare as the older version of which there were 1658 produced).
As a performance model this car was treated to the more robust and classically Subaru-sounding EJ20 with a plethora of factory performance upgrades that took this car up to 304hp and 317 pound-feet of torque (430Nm):
• Twin-scroll turbocharger with uprated ball bearings for turbine axle bearing
• Retuned ECU
• Aluminium bonnet, laminar window glasses, downsized battery all dropping kerbweight by 30kg over the standard WRX STI
• Reinforced cross member in front suspension
• New mechanical type limited-slip differential (as opposed to the usual Torsen type in the rear)
• Inter-cooler water-spray system to prevent rise in intake-air temperature at continued high-load driving (providing stable engine performance and improved efficiency)
• Spec C specific 18-inch allow wheels to reduce unsprung mass and improve grip
All these improvements produce a car with faster acceleration but more importantly, a more responsive and connected feel between car and road.
Imported in September 2023 by Torque GT with single Japanese ownership.
The car has been carefully curated by its single UK owner, covering 5000 miles since import, currently sitting at 50750miles.
Official BIMTA certification covers the conversion of the odometer from km to miles and guarantees the validity of distance covered by the car across Japan and the UK.
Included is the original STI driver’s seat which was changed for a more sporting Recaro bucket seat by its Japanese owner. Other cosmetic additions include wind deflectors, added in Japan, which can be easily reversed. A clear red wrap was added to the taillights upon import which can be reversed to the clear white look.
Upon arrival into the UK the car underwent a comprehensive service and check over.
The oil filter, water pump and timing belt were all replaced with new, genuine Subaru parts (at 45k miles). It received full cavity wax treatment and Lanoguard clear underbody treatment to protect the pristine underside.
Performance was boosted by Torque GT to 319. 3hp by a stage 1 tune which included an uprated Deatschwerks DW3000C in-tank fuel pump, HKS super hybris air filter and a Fujitsubo A-R exhaust system.
The car comes with its 2 original Subaru keys, full documented Japanese service history with original Subaru main dealer books, fully documented UK import history and service history with Torque GT. Complete documentation of the work done by Torque GT will be included.
