Spectacular nuts & bolts restoration of this beautiful Series 2A; the car has been completely rebuilt and dismantled to the last bolt. Work began with the chassis restoration including sandblasting, treatment and powder coating, the mechanicals have been entirely rebuilt starting from the engine, the gear box has been replaced with the third-series synchronised model with the addition of overdrive. All systems are 100% new; every pipe of the braking system has been rebuilt with copper tubing like the original. Originality has been preserved at 95% with the addition of technical improvements that enhance usability. A mechanical power steering has been installed, making it exceptionally easy to drive; the leaf springs have been replaced with parabolic ones to improve ride comfort. The electrical system, new yet in the original fabric, was ordered in the UK with the specifications for this chassis number, with the addition of an alternator instead of a dynamo. The lights are LED but fitted into the original headlamps to avoid altering the aesthetics while improving functionality. The instrumentation has been overhauled and is flawless both aesthetically and functionally. The interiors were ordered in the UK in a particular colour to match the unique patented colour for this car, “Blue Wolf,” which shifts from blue to green depending on sunlight exposure. For this paintwork the bodywork has been fully returned to metal with aluminium welds to seal all non-essential holes. The zinc coating was done with a cold-zinc process to give a satin finish. The car runs Wolf reinforced rims with enlarged Yokohama tyres. The exhaust has been replaced with stainless steel. We have all photos of the restoration phase. The car is delivered with a 1-year warranty and is ready for registration. Viewable by appointment in the province of Milan.
