Yamaha R5 first year model , 1970 H Reg , Matching Numbers bike , was originally imported from the US , but is now Fully UK Registered as Historic, 350cc Twin 2 stroke , I bought this a few years back to restore , but it’s never going to happen , it’s pretty much complete ( approx 98% ) make No mistake this is definitely a restoration project, Engine turns over , will need work but a great starting point. These early Yamaha pre RD bikes are becoming increasingly difficult to find especially an early model. I purchased this bike as a bit of a nostalgic purchase , as when I was a kid my neighbour had a 1970 bike in exactly the same colour and I loved it , I started to dismantle it a few years back and that’s as far as I got, The bike is a great starting point for a restoration
