Capots Vintage, a specialist in sports and classic vehicles in Lyon, is offering for sale a 1979 Chevrolet Corvette C3 350Ci L48: An icon of the 1970s, the Chevrolet Corvette C3 captivates with its sculptural design and typically American V8 engine. Produced from 1968 to 1982, it evolved between powerful big blocks and more civilised versions, while remaining true to its sporting DNA. The C3 L48 version arrived in 1975, equipped with the 350Ci V8 (5. 7L) developing around 190 bhp. Offering a good balance between performance and comfort, it perfectly embodied the spirit of the muscle cars of the era, with the raw pleasure of a true American. This T-tops version, equipped with a 3-speed automatic gearbox, was delivered new in the United States and registered for the first time on 1 November 1979. Imported to France in 2011 by a Corvette specialist, it has been kept by its sole French owner since that date and has a collector's registration. Its 'Matching Colors' configuration combines an elegant pastel blue hue, known as Corvette Light Blue, with a black leather interior. Although the paintwork was redone some fifteen years ago, it is in perfect condition, with no apparent defects. A rare state of preservation on a polyester body. A number of components have recently been overhauled, including the running gear (suspension arms, rear blades) and the braking system. The previous owner also had aluminium rocker covers and two stainless steel exhaust silencers fitted. The car is fitted with two tinted glass T-tops and 4 original aluminium wheels.
