Description
A classic T120 Triumph Bonneville. Found after being stored in a container for about 40 years and rebuilt by me in the 1960 colour scheme. When the engine was stripped the crank, rods, pistons and barrels were found to be new and unused. The head appears to be new also, but has had some porting work carried out on it. The head and barrels are the later 9 stud versions. The cam shafts are very high performance leading me to think the bike was intended for either racing or very high performance road use. In use although it is still being run in it is clearly a potent engine but docile with it. The oil pump was replaced with a new item. Tyres are new (500 miles) The electrics have been upgraded to 12v, with the controller placed between the tool box and oil tank, access to it is by removing the seat. There is a small scrape on the front right of the front mudguard, caused when I was moving the bike in the garage. The rev-counter and speedo are both chronometric items, bought at horrendous cost, so are effectively new. Rims and spokes are stainless steel. Offers will be considered. I rebuilt this bike as a partner to my Dominator 99, but with ageing body one has to go and as I have had the Dommi for over 50 years I am rather attached to it, even though it is scruffy compared to the Bonni
You may see a duplicate of this advert. I wanted to modify the previous advert but could not open it. so have created this second one as the first did not list the asking price (serious offers will be considered) and I could not access it to point out that the engine top end is the later 9 stud items (so no problems with cracking as the earlier 8 stud units were prone to)
