We wanted a proper factory-built conversion, not a home-made van, with the solid engineering and clever design Westfalia is famous for.
The high-spec Vanagon base, the comfort of the pop-top, the underbody gas system, the factory green-tinted glass — everything just felt a cut above the rest. We loved the idea of a turbo diesel engine for better reliability and fuel economy on longer trips, and it drove so well compared to others we tested.
Most importantly, it gave us the confidence to plan adventures without worrying about constant repairs. We had some brilliant trips in it over the past year, and we’re genuinely sad to let it go — only circumstances beyond our control (a divorce) force the sale.
We know the next owner is going to love it just as much as we have.
