Update. I just got back from the garage and found out that The Moke needs a new fuel tank and a new carburettor. The tank must have rusted this winter. I have adjusted the sale price accordingly. All other information is below.
1979 Australian Mini Moke. The first car I ever purchased, I have owned it since 1991 . Great car to drive, super reliable. Original left-hand drive. It needs paint, most of the car has what is left of the original paint, the front was resprayed in 2022 after the front windscreen, front and side panel were replaced due to a tree falling on the car. The repairs were carried out by 'Garage Autonier Laurent'. A great garage, that had replaced the clutch for in 2019.
While the body work was being repaired in 2022 I aslo had the Moke converted to run on unleaded petrol, new tires, new brakes, new exhaust system, new roof and seats re-upholstered and restored.
Luckly there was no structural damage to the Moke and once the tree was removed the engine started and ran totally fine, just the windscreen, side and front panel needed work but the structure of the Moke as left unharmed.
It has also more recently had a new fuel pump fitted as well as starter motor. There is no rust on the Moke as it is galvanized there is a little rot on the back bumper I just noticed when taking these photos. Ideal for someone looking to do some light restoration, reliable, road worthy moke that needs new paint and a tune up. I have a folder of paperwork that goes with the Moke since I bought it in 1991 along with the original bill of sale, lots of old Including 19 MOT starting from 1983 the first year the car was imported to the UK. As well are repair receipts throughout the years. And all garage reciepts since the Moke was imported to France. The Moke was registered in France in 2013 and garaged at parents place while I was living in Los Angeles. I got it back on the road full time in 2019 when I moved to France.
