To boost sales in the final years of the P38 model production, Land Rover introduced a sequence of limited editions that increased the model's exclusivity. The Royal Edition was introduced to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee towards the very end of P38 production between July and September 2002, making it one of the last P38 models off the line. 500 Royal Editions were made for worldwide distribution, over half of which went to Japan. The Royal Edition was offered in metallic Epsom Green as standard, mirroring the specification used by the royal family, however this example was produced in special order Chawton White.
This 3 owner example supplied new in Japan in July 2002 was imported to the UK in June 2019, has covered just over 6, 000 miles in the UK and has been owned by the current owner since September 2020. Mileage is currently just under 140, 500 kms (87, 500 miles). It comes with 3 keys, the original handbook, Land Rover Japan service and maintenance book and a comprehensive UK maintenance history file and receipts including the following work completed during my ownership:

The previous owner fitted the car with an LPG conversion with a 90 litre spare wheel tank at Dorset LPG and the 4. 6L V8 pulls strongly on both petrol and LPG. The auto levelling suspension and cruise control work seamlessly. The car also comes with a steering wheel operated touch screen Apple Carplay/ Android Auto head unit with satnav, DAB radio and reversing camera and rear parking sensors. The car is in great condition and rust free due to having spent most of its life in Japan. A real head turner, lovely cruiser and only £360 road tax.
