Description
Very solid Vw T2 Westfalia Camper in Neptune Blue with lovely patina and real bullet holes.
I bought from a trader in 2010 who'd imported it from california. I then began getting the bus back on the road by replacing the cab floor pan and the battery trays, installing a reconditioned 1600 twin port engine and reconditioned Gearbox. It's lowered on 3" 1/ 2 dropped spindles, I do still have the original spindles to go with the van if someone would like to restore it back to original height.
Been on a few trips to Kent, Dorset, Devon and two years ago we took it to the Silverstone festival and we drove it around the track which was a great experience
It runs and drives well, although the ignition switch is sometimes a bit tempermental, ride quality isn't the best, this would be vastly improve if it was restored back to stock height.
All in all it's a lovely camper with a lot of character which always gets a lot of attention
I have a few spares to go with it including enough of the furniture wood to make an overhead locker Imported in from California in 2009 and I purchased it in 2010.
When it was back in the states it was used as a vehicle for department of housing California
