Selling on behalf of an elderly friend who is not on line. This is the more sought after and rarer manual gearbox V8 version with the essential power steering of this award winning Rover saloon which took the world by storm when announced in 1963.
Subject to a full mechanical overhaul including brakes and steering and a superb respray last year. Structurally sound throughout bodywise with new sills. Also stainless steel exhaust fitted, new vinyl roof, new tyres, new front seat belts, replacement clutch and associated hydraulics, gearbox out and checked for condition.
On the minus, side the cloth upholstery needs attention to remedy 50 years of service. Otherwise the interior is reasonably presentable but could be improved depending on requirements.
Drives as it should, superb ride and effortless power on tap from the well tuned 3. 5 litre V8.
A box file of 25 years history accompanies the car. Registered "Historic" so tax and MOT free status and ULEZ compliant.
