Registered new in October 1962 as a 1/ 4 ton van in Rose Taupe with a 950cc engine, the vehicle has been within one family ownership from 1968 to 2023. It received a thorough refurbishment at Charles Ware in the mid 1990s that included a full respray to red both inside and out and the fitting of a 1098cc engine, alternator, brake servo plus hazards and reversing light.
Since August 2023 the vehicle has been subject to a programme of improvement including bodywork and the braking system which has been thoroughly overhauled with components replaced as needed.
It benefits from a new set of radial tyres (5), electronic ignition and new radiator with fuel pump, carburettor, and coil all recently replaced. There is low recorded mileage over recent years. “RYD” gets a smile wherever it goes and is for sale because the owner’s Morris Minor saloon now needs more attention.
