Description
1973 Hillman Imp project car for sale, I've had this car three years now and done nothing to it, I rallied one in the eighties and fancied building another rally car, life and other projects have got in the way as they do.
I've been today and pulled this IMP out for a better look (11/ 07/ 25) and frankly except of the wheel arches it is remarkably solid, the panels to repair the arches are also with the car, the floors and sills are amazing!!
There are spares with the car as well which I didn't realise, glass, another gearbox and some other bits
To be honest it's re-kindled my interest in it and made me realise that it's well worth what I'm asking for it, check out the new pictures and see for yourselfAlthough stripped, the car is complete except for both front shocks, its in reasonable nick but will require at least one rear wheel arch, the engine is out but the gearbox is still in the car, the original interior is loose inside of the car
It's a straightforward proposition as it hasn't been messed about with but it will need a full restoration in my opinion, whether that is back to standard or as a rally car as I had planned.
It's best to look at the car really to make sure it's what you want, its in a barn near Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, before I bought it it was stored in a dry garage and as said I've done nothing with it other than collect it and store it hoping I might one day get around to doing it, as my Dad used to say "time and tide waits for no man"
In summary, Its a decent project car but it won't be on the road in a weekend, Imps are getting rare now and this one deserves to be rescued, the V5 is in my name
