Description
Jaguar Mark V 3. 5 litre Drophead 1951
This UK supplied car is in absolutely superb condition and ready to go anywhere.
Recently completed 300-mile tour with no issues at all.
The rich Dark Blue paint finish is consistent, glassy and smooth with no defects to be seen.
The tan hood and sumptuous tan interior are immaculate.
The 3. 5 litre engine runs very well, doesn’t use oil and doesn’t overheat, even on a mixture of fast motorway, A and B roads.
Original handbook, complete toolkit, jack and wheel brace are all present.
The Mark V received a comprehensive body-off restoration back in the ‘90s, with a stint in an Italian private museum, and the car has been fastidiously maintained and remains in superb condition.
Returning to the UK, the Mark V was recommissioned by Vicarage Jaguar.
During this process, the car received sensible driving upgrades of Power steering, 5-speed gearbox, alternator inside the dynamo and other practical upgrades. These transform the driving experience – roadholding, comfort and cruising ability all being up to modern standards. Should a new owner wish, these upgrades are reversible, and the original gearbox and steering components are available.
During my father's ownership the car has wanted for nothing as recent new stainless exhaust and brake master cylinder show.
An extensive history file is available. Original RHD car supplied new in 1951
Several years full restoration by owner of Jaguar Milan, then kept in heated Jaguar museum
Two owners since returning to UK in 2012
Owned and fastidiously maintained by my father for the last 8 years. At 92 he feels that its time to let it go to another owner who will enjoy and cherish the car.
