Description

This was built in 1978 was originally a Mini 1000 but was converted by a previous owner in 2006 to a 1275cc A+ Metro engine and 4 speed automatic gearbox.

There have been a fair amount of modifications done to it before I purchased it as an unfinished project. The bodywork had been completely stripped and repainted so it is rust free. The wheels had been refurbished but the interior, engine and other minor finishes were done by my husband and I.

The car is in lovely condition, ready for the next person to add their own personal touches.

It is a daily driver so the mileage may go up slightly.

The only negative points are that it's a bit temperamental when first starting in the morning but as long as the choke is out til warm then it's fine for the rest of the day. Think it's an age thing, a new choke and accelerator cable have just been fitted. Also there are a couple of places on the bodywork where the side indicators and aerial holes have been filled, which are just starting to show through, only if you look closely. Easily rectified by refilling or putting the original equipment back on. It's an old car and not concourse so dont expect perfection.

I bought this with the full intention of doing it up then enjoying it and showing it at car shows, but unfortunately my health has deteriorated so it's best going to a home that will use and enjoy it.

It's MOT and tax exempt classed as an historic vehicle and comes with two keys and loads of paperwork.

Also included in the sale are various spare parts including the original chrome bumpers.
