Reluctant sale, due to health issues, of my 2. 0GL automatic mark 4 cortina which I have owned for 7 years, used sparingly and stored in a dehumidified unit. The car has 43, 000 certified miles and is in very good condition for year. The car has been resprayed at some point in its original colour of Oyster Gold and is still in good condition with a blemish here andvthere. The vinyl roof is in original very good condition. The car was rust proofed from new and was refreshed for several years afterwards. The seats have been re-covered at some point and this has been done very well, though Im not sure if vinyl or leather. The rest of the interior is very clean and tidy other than some marking on the headlining by the sunroof whcih I havent tried to clean.. All instruments work and the only fault is the sunroof (which did open for years and was adjusted last year when MOTd and for some reason no longer opens). Mechanically the car runs fine and, despite doing few miles, has been serviced at 42766 miles when the distributor was changed. The carb was serviced at 42861 miles and and the rear brakes serviced in July 2024 and MOT’ed with no advisories and waxoiled. There are not many mark 4s left these days and very few I would imagine with only 43, 000 miles on. There have been 3 keepers prior to myself. The original car pack and sales invoice (and lots of invoices re rust proofing) are in the document file along with nearly all MOTs from 1982 to back up the mileage. The original service book is there but services are not recorded. There are a number of other documents.
