Here is my UK spec 1997 80 Series Toyota Land Cruiser.
It has 3 previous owners, 220, 000 miles and a full service history with over 30 regular services in the last 28 years.
It's the more sought after specification, with the 24 valve 4. 2L diesel and 5-speed manual gearbox. It's also the VX model, which comes with heated leather seats, electric windows and an electric 2 way sunroof. It looks to have been undersealed by a previous owner which has done wonders for protecting the chassis.
In the past 12 months it's had it's timing belt changed, new front shock absorbers and new rear brake pads.
I've also taken it to West Coast 4x4 in Southport to have the front wheel hubs completely rebuilt, with new gaskets, seals and wheel bearings. They're a Land Cruiser specialist and described my car as 'Above Average', which I'll take as a complement.
It has two keys and two fobs (one of which needs programming).
The bad bits are as follows:
Front seats are worn, hence the seat covers.
There are some bits of rust in the common areas on the upper tailgate and wheel arches.
The electric ariel has been replaced by a manual one, it's still fully functional.
The paint is worn in a couple of places.
I've re-gassed the aircon, but there appears to be a leak.
I'm looking for £12500. I think this is a fair price, as immaculate examples can be found for £25000+, with MOT-failing non-runners going for £6000+
