MORRIS EIGHT SERIES TWO SALOON 1938
A charming Morris Eight in black over blue. Very good condition with lots of original features including 6V electrical system.
I have owned and maintained the car since 2011 during which time the work undertaken includes:
Extensive bodywork restoration including full repaint
Radiator recored and new hoses fitted
Fuel tank cleaned and new sender unit fitted
Vehicle rewired using period cabling retaining existing coil, distributor, regulator, dynamo, and starter motor.
Carburettor refurbished
Dynamo overhauled
Brake master cylinder resealed and fluid changed.
4 new wheel cylinders
New half shaft oil seals
New carpets
New fuel gauge.
Prior to my ownership, the engine and clutch were reconditioned and remain in good order.
The car is used regularly for pleasure trips and classic events proving to be extremely reliable.
Everything works as it should and the vehicle drives well.
Smaller, older cars like the Morris Eight are an excellent introduction to the classic scene being relatively inexpensive to own and run with good parts availability and a very active owner’s club.
Included in the sale are a few useful spares, information manuals, lots of documentation including MOT’s, tax discs, Morris Register members magazines etc.
