Description
1936 Austin 7.
Very sweet little Austin 7! I purchased the vehicle for my late father in 2019 for him to potter around in. It’s had very little use since 2019, probably less than 80 miles.
I purchased the car from a widow in Bishop Stortford; whom owned the car 15 + years. It came with lots of history, etc. It completed Lands End to John o' Groats in 1972. It was use in WW2 by the Post Office within the Bishop Stortford area.
It’s had a really sympathetic restoration at some point; in the last six years, I’ve changed the oil / coolant each year and ensured its done 5-10 miles to keep it in working order.
It starts great and goes lovely! All 4 No. Matching tyres, good breaks, the chassis is nicely painted along with all the suspension components. (No rust, corrosion breaking through).
The interior is 99% along with the roof lining. The seats have been nicely re-trimmed along with the carpets and roof lining. Showing no signs of wear etc.
The external paintwork is 8/ 10 (bearing in mind the car is coming up to 90 years old). There isn’t any rush, but it has some age-related marks. Etc. nothing that lets its down.
It was Best Classic Car in Chesterfield Classic Show in 2019! (We have a Trophy etc).
Simply selling to lack of use and moving on! It doesn’t need anything doing to it; add some petrol and you’re away – all ready for summer.
Thanks for looking; just needs a good home.
PS. The Guilty looking Spaniel isn't included.
