Description
Austin Seven 7 works racer 1923 A faithful replica of the very first of 3 that the Austin Motor Co built with the first OK 7095 being raced at Brooklands by Herbert Austin's son-in-law Captain Arthur Waite ( won in race 2 - car no 10) Two huge files of costs & details of the build 1970/ 71 with mostly very early Austin Seven parts being used by the late Tony Hutchings (of Land Rover fame). Imported from Holland in 2014 by myself & campaigned thereafter at numerous venues being very well received. You may well have seen it! one and a half seats. V5c in my name.
Fabric on an ash frame recovered 10 years ago after light restoration with significant cost being the Dacron fabric covering & then painting with 9 various coats of paint by Personal Plane Services (late of Booker Airfield). Fell in love with it after seeing it a number of times in print particularly in 'The Austin Seven' by R. J. Wyatt page 56 and being a Seven enthusiast this fitted the bill - no hurry to sell but now have an even more interesting car.
