2001 Triple black (obsidian) Mercedes R129 SL500. ULEZ Compliant. 3 previous owners, although the fist two owners were the same person. The car was purchased new by Mr Johnson (Everton FC director) for his business, then after 3 years he purchased it from his business. The third owner was his accountant Mr Fairbrother and I purchased the car from him 6 yeas ago.
The car is the highest specked R129 I have seen, it came with the all important Pano roof, Xenon headlights, multi-contour seats (very rare option), upgraded wood pack, CD changer, heated seats and cup holders. Everything works as it should. A/ C is ice cold and soft top top works faultlessly. It's one of the very few R129s that is ULEZ compliant. The car is being sold with its factory wheels, although the staggered AMG wheels which are on the car at present can be purchased for an extra £2500. It has a full years MOT and a near perfect MOT history. Full service history MB and MB specialist. Mileage 79K. I am a MB owners club member so have always really looked after it. The only reason for the sale is that I have recently purchased a R129 Silver Arrows so have to regretfully sell this one. The private plate can be purchased by separate negotiation. The car took me ages to find and I know I will regret selling it at some point.
