Description
This 1800S has been in the family for 25 years and is in good condition in the areas where they are usually quite horrid. Low mileage , The engine was replaced about 30 years ago due to the oil cooler leaking into the oil and as a consequence it doesn't have a sump with fittings for oil temp sensor. The front end has been repainted about 25 years ago following malicious paint damage, using Code 46 (red) the paint has faded a bit but you might like the two tone effect.......... There are a few bits we will be improving like heater valve, washer motor, light bulb, NSF wheel and tyre etc. Might even clean it. Internally there is wear on the drivers door, the leather luggage straps are present. The dash is good and the instruments predictably don't work..... LUCAS! We will be retaining the plate unless a substantial offer is made.
It is becoming a bit hard for Us to get in and out of as we're waiting for replacement knees and what ever fails next.
Forgot to mention: The vehicle has an overdrive gear box and Mark Parry, the Volvo guru, says it drives well and the overdrive action is very good and positive
In summary, this is a solid car with no hidden nasties- Not concours but still turns heads. It is pretty!
