Description
1984 (ULEZ friendly) Two-Tone Grey Citroën 2CV6 Charleston with just 33, 500 miles. Restored by the highly respected Cambridge 2CV on a galvanised SLC chassis in 2017, this car is extremely sound and solid, with no signs of rust in the structure. It drives well, as would be expected from a 2CV of this mileage - just about run-in. The interior is excellent, having been re-trimmed, as is the nearly new roof.
The bodywork is all totally sound and rust-free but the paintwork, though great from a few feet away, is honestly, rather disappointing when viewed with an expert’s eyes - not as lustrous as one might expect and not brilliantly prepared in a couple of places where previous significant repairs have been expertly carried out but not especially well refinished.
That is why the price is not £5k higher. Otherwise, this is a truly rare opportunity to purchase a very low mileage, top specification 2CV that has been thoroughly rebuilt by reputed specialists. For the sake of some cosmetic attention, this could be a near-perfect car. Or enjoy it as it is, as a ‘ten-foot’ treasure that drives beautifully, has been very well maintained and presents very well from that distance.
The car has just had a new MOT and a thorough check-over at Driving Spirit 2CV Specialists in Angmering, West Sussex, who are handling the sale.
The private number plate will not be supplied with the car, which will instead be wearing its original number: A193 FVOULEZ friendly!
Exceptionally low mileage.
Rebuilt well and professionally by people who know and love 2CVs, with top quality parts.
Very carefully looked after since then.
