I have owned this car since 1991 and have kept all the paperwork since then, so a full history is available. She has had two intense ‘makeovers’ during her lifetime – one in 1990 by the garage which sold her to me, and then again in 1999 when the car needed a new floor and I included a lot of other items. This work was done by Charles Ware in Bath who later fitted an alternator and disc brakes. For quite a while she was immaculate – I regularly drove her and she was kept in a garage between 1991 and 2012. Whilst garaged between 2010-2012, unbeknown to me the garage leaked and caused a lot of damage. I have been renovating her off and on ever since. I have MOT’d her this year, had a lot of welding work done to ensure she is fit for sale and replaced all tyres. There is still 7 months MOT to run. There is a spare tyre and this has had little use. The milometer shows 34, 403 miles but this is misleading as this is a second milometer fitted over 20 years ago. In total (verified by my paperwork) she has done less than 51, 000 miles. Inside, the upholstery and carpets are all good although there is some marking to the inner roof lining. Due to the damp damage in 2012, I have removed the parcel shelf and cardboard liners to the glove compartments. I have not replaced these as I preferred to spend money first on making her good for the road. In 2013 I had her re-sprayed but in later years it became apparent the garage ‘skimped’ on the bonnet and so the bonnet needs to be resprayed at some point (as seen in photo). Elsewhere the paintwork is good for her age. It isn’t perfect, there are a few small areas of rust which will need to be addressed eventually – but she is very good for her age and shines up nicely! She has only had two owners in her lifetime, her previous owner and me. I can supply more photos upon request. To sum up, she’s a sweet Morris that is ready to go and can be enjoyed whilst further improvements take place. My reason for sale is that after a downsize, I have nowhere to keep her and she is currently parked road-side, plus I am about to downsize again and can no longer manage two cars.
