Description

1967 Iso Rivolta IR300. LHD. Originally delivered in the USA. VIN number 420633. Matching numbers. Imported into Australia in 1997 by current owner. Restoration was commenced in 1998. The vehicle was fully dismantled and the body fully rebuilt at no expense spared. Conversion to RHD was commenced but not completed. A new dash face was made and fitted but the original dash and LHD steering components will be supplied with the car. The engine was rebuilt at the time but never run.
In 2000, the restoration was halted and the vehicle has been in dry storage ever since then. It has now been decided to sell the vehicle to an enthusiast who will complete the restoration of this wonderful vehicle.
The body work was completed to a very high standard and will save the new owner a great deal in restoration costs. There are a few small dents acquired during its time in storage. It has been estimated that 20-25 hours of body work would be required to have the body shell ready to strip and paint. The interior is complete but will of course require full refurbishment. The exterior bright work is good. The bumper bars were refurbished. The glass is all original. There are some scratches evident but they can be removed. The rear quarter windows are missing but are available. The instrumentation is excellent.
The only major mechanical parts missing is one rear brake calliper and a RHD Jaguar steering box if it is decided to continue the conversion to RHD. There is no exhaust system with the car.
The road wheels are the originals and in good order. There is no spare wheel. The radiator was fully rebuilt and the fuel tank is excellent and does not require refurbishment except for an external coat of paint.
The electrical items missing include the wiper motor and number plate lamp but all are available.
Detailed answers on any aspect of the condition or missing components will be given on request.
This is an excellent restoration project with the costliest part of the restoration completed.
There is also a manual steering column available separately for anyone wishing to convert the Iso to manual.
