Exceptionally original car with all leather and woodwork as it left the factory. Interior includes the original working ‘valve’radio.
Engine has had thorough rebuild work and performs well. As with the many MK1’s this car has the 2. 4L XK type engine providing good fuel economy along with performance, well above most other 1950’s saloon cars. Top speed just over 100mph
Matching numbers car with original engine etc. The only upgraded part is later 5 speed manual gearbox. The original manual gearbox is also included with the car along with many other spare parts.
Loads of history and paperwork including folder of MOT’s showing the mileage over the years
Paintwork is not perfect with some small imperfections but overall the car looks great & is believed to have never had a full respray with some areas of paint thought to be original.
This car has spent its life being very well looked after being kept away from wet and salty roads. Metalwork is in very good condition with no signs of welded repairs underneath. For genuine interest car can be viewed on a ramp to show its condition. Jaguar MK1 1959
