1961 Series 2 Land Rover.
A very good example of a petrol series 2 Land Rover in largely original condition. Painted in limestone, one of the rarer colours land rover produced, with a contrasting sand coloured canvas roof. Everything is working as it should and the correct specification for the year of manufacture.
She has recently undergone a thorough but sensitive restoration and runs and drives perfectly.
Remarkably, the chassis is totally original and in excellent condition, still retaining its original rear crossmember and front dumb irons (stamped with the chassis number). The bulkhead and both footwells are also excellent. No rust or rot that I can see anywhere.
The paintwork is in good condition for its age and all panels are remarkably straight.

New brake cylinders and pads plus master cylinder.
Handbrake replaced.
New clutch master cylinder.
New galvanised doors and door tops (painted Limestone to match)
New door locks and keys.
Numerous new rubbers and seals.
Original Lucas wiper motors rebuilt.

Original spoke steering wheel restored.
Original Tex Magna-light indicator switch restored.
Original choke warning light switch restored.
New Webber carb (original Zenith available but not working).
All lights replaced.
Radiator replaced.
Dynamo rebuilt.
New voltage regulator.
New period number plates.
New Exmoor Trim canvas roof.
New front seat set.
Chassis fully wax-oiled.
New galvanised under-wing mud shields.
New rear view and wing mirrors.
New military fuel tank and sender unit.
New rubber foot well and cargo mats.
New battery.
Fully serviced with all fluids replaced.
Large history file/ receipts included.
Tax and MOT exempt.
I will be sorry to see her go.
