Triumph TR4A 1967 UK car with Overdrive.
A superb rust free car with lovely paintwork, there is no rust or bubbling around the wing joints or edges of the body. A very rare Aluminum roof panel and Aluminum back light fitted with a glass rear screen enhances the car and allows it to be used when the British weather is less than perfect. The headlining is very good as is the paintwork and the chrome strip. Avery good soft top and folding frame also comes with the car. The seats are in black leather with no rips or tears. The wooden dash is very good with no splits in it and the lacquer is perfect along with a lockable glove box which has a handbook inside. A black leather steering wheel is fitted but it also has the original steering wheel. In the dash it has an original Motorola push button radio. The car is fitted with an electronic immobilizer and has two key fob controllers. The headlights have been up-rated and fitted with Tripod P700 units. Under the car the floor, sills, and chassis are all solid. Inner and outer sills at some point have been replaced. All four wings have had protection liners fitted. All the chrome-work is in nice condition and the chrome wire wheels look like new with no pitting and are shod with good Vredesten tyres with plenty of life left in them. All the road springs have been replaced and Spax Adjustable shock absorbers have been fitted to the front and rear. The gearbox is in perfect working order with the overdrive working as it should. The engine was rebuilt by a professional company thirty thousand miles ago with new liners and pistons the flywheel was lightened, the crank re-ground and the bottom end balanced. At the same time a fast road cam was fitted with new followers. The head was re-built and larger valves fitted and was polished and ported to match the extractor manifold along with an SS exhaust system. A Dynatrator has been fitted to keep its original look. A new cooling fan with a thermostat has been fitted Oil pressure is 70 psi on start up and the car runs at 55 psi on a hot engine. The SU carburetors were re-built and fuel the car as they should. Electronic ignition is also fitted to the car. The brakes are in very good condition and work very well with the remote servo they pull the car up quickly with no undue handling problems such as pulling to one side. The cars geometry is set correct and the car is neutral when on the move. The car has a huge maintenance file with invoices and Mots going back some 40 years.
