Description
BMW 1983 R100 with the 980cc, 8. 2 compression ratio engine, lighter flywheel/ clutch assembly and shock absorber drive shaft, gives a smooth ride. The custom made top yoke which grips the fork legs and the progressive rate fork springs improve the steering. The twin cast-iron front discs and steel braided lines produce better braking whilst the rear drum brake gives more 'feel'. The surefoot side stand is easier to use and more secure. This R100 has been fitted with the excellent RS fairing since new, and has a stainless steel exhaust system and BMW panniers. It is a reliable icon that has taken me to the Isle of Man and a National Rally 'Gold' award
