OPEN TO SENSIBLE OFFERS PLEASE..... 1976 MGB ROADSTER WITH OVERDRIVE. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS AND IT HAS BEEN GARAGED DURING THIS TIME AND I AM SURE IT HAS BEEN GARAGED FOR MOST OF ITS LIFE.
I HAD BEEN DRIVING THIS CAR DURING DRY SUMMER MONTHS UP UNTIL 7 YEARS AGO WHEN I DECIDED TO CARRY OUT A FULL REFURBISHMENT. UNFORTUNATLY DUE TO A UNSCRUPULOUS GARAGE AND COVID THE VEHICLE WAS STORED IN A CONTAINER WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE AND WORK HAD OBVIOUSLY STOPPED.
FORTUNATLY MOST OF THE REQUIRED WELDING AND REPLACEMENT 'A' PILLARS, CASTLES AND REAR QUARTERS HAD BEEN COMPLETED.
THE CAR IS NOW AT A REPUTABLE GARAGE AND CAN BE VIEWED THERE.
I HAVE NOW STRIPPED THE INTERIOR READY FOR PAINT.
THERE IS A SMALL BIT OF WELDING REQUIRED TO THE DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR, THE HEATER MATRIX NEEDS REPLACING AND A PASSENGER SIDE REAR DRUM REQUIRED. THE DASHBOARD HAS BEEN TAKEN BACK TO METAL FOR PAINTING. THE RADIO CONSOLE, CONTROLS AND CENTRE CONSOLE HAVE BEEN REFURBISHED.
REPLACEMENT WINGS, SEBRING FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS PLUS RUBBERS. 4 SPARE ROSTYLE WHEELS, NEW SEATS, HEAD RESTS, CRASH PAD, ARM REST IN BLACK AND ALL PIPED IN GREY. TONNEAU, GAZ SHOCKS AND SOFT TOP (MAY NEED NEW CANVASS) STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST, PLUS NUMEROUS NEW PARTS INCLUDED IN SALE.
ALL THIS CAR NOW NEEDS IS SOMEONE TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER, PAINT AND ENJOY. ENGINE TURNS OVER.
TAX AND MOT EXEMPT. ONE UNIQUE FEATURE IS THAT IT HAS TWO WAYS TO ENGAGE OVERDRIVE, ONE VIA THE DASHBOARD TOGGLE THE OTHER VIA THE WIPER ARM (i believe this was on the MGC) BOTH WERE WORKING.
