I’ve owned this Austin Healey since July 2023 and am only selling it because I now have six cars and something has to give. The previous owner told me that as far as he knew, It was put into dry storage in 1973 and left untouched until 2003, when its owner, an engineer, began a slow, detailed restoration over several years, before he passed away. Two further owners continued to care for and invest in it. I was told by the last owner that the total over this period was thought to be around £30, 000, but I've always treated this figure as anecdotal as there is not enough paperwork to validate that figure. It is clear from the cars exceptional condition that a lot of money has been spent.
The mileage is believed to be genuine (but cannot be warranted) considering its long time in storage. It has a bespoke radiator and catch tank, Fully Braided Engine Hoses, Electronic Ignition, Electric Cooling Fan, Wire wheels, and a beautifully retrimmed interior to match its Riviera Blue paintwork. It starts, drives, and functions exactly as it should, with no known faults.

• Excellent condition throughout, both inside and out.

Mechanical
• As far as I know, it still has its original engine and gearbox. The engine has been rebuilt.
• It’s been converted to an alternator, but it’s designed to look like the original dynamo.
• Pretty much everything on the car has been replaced or renewed over the years.
• Just before I bought it, it had a new clutch, crankshaft seal, and the internals of the differential were serviced.
Paperwork
• Manuals.
• Photographic record of restoration.
• I have some invoices and receipts for work completed over more recent years, however the file it not a complete record.
• Original paper logbook.
Price
The price is firm with no offers acceptedI believe that this is an exceptional piece of motoring history, in probably better condition that when it left the showroom, and is completely turnkey, with no work required.
I hope that it goes to someone who will continue to take great care of it.
