The Appeal
The Z1 was one of BMW's most daring and unconventional designs, created initially as a development mule for the E36 3-Series' Z-axle rather than as a production model. This quirky roadster with its unique vertically sliding doors became an instant sensation when revealed to the public, prompting BMW to launch a limited production run despite having no original intention to do so.
This 1990 Dream Black Metallic example presents in exceedingly smart condition for its age, having been cherished by its current owner for an impressive 28 years. With just three former registered keepers from new, comprehensive service documentation, and relatively low mileage, this Z1 offers a rare opportunity to own one of BMW's most characterful and distinctive roadsters.
