Description
An original San Jose, California built Factory GT Coupe 289 V8 which is in great structural & mechanical condition, but could use some cosmetic re-furbishing.
The car is fully U. K. registered, and now wears the registration UCA 488D. (Some of the pictures above were taken before U. K. Registration, and still show the original California Licence Plates.)
I bought the car in Los Angeles in August 1999, and since that date it has had been garaged, and has had very little use. My intention was to fully re-furb the car, but due to a spinal problem I have been unable to work on it as much as planned. I did replace brake discs and pads, various bushes, tyres, heater matrix, battery, battery tray, radiator, and a Holley four barrel carb. (the original radiator and Autolite carb are included ). The car passed the MOT Test in 2016, and has not required a re-test since. This iconic car still has all its original features including GT Steering Wheel, Pony Interior, Twin GT Exhaust, 5-Slot Wheels, GT Fuel Cap etc.
The engine, transmission, power steering & brakes all function as they should, as do the electricals.
I have all the necessary Import and Customs paperwork, along with the U. K. Registration Certificate, receipts for parts, plus lots of literature, and many copies of 'Mustang Monthly' magazine which I will include in the sale.
