Description
1962 Austin Healey sprite mk2 with the same quarter elliptical springs as the frog eye sprite which are meant to handle better than later cars. This example has been upgraded to be much more usable than a standard car. It has a larger 1098cc engine from a later car and larger front drums taken from an Austin A40. It has a single box exhaust and sounds great. It’s great fun to drive and can keep up with traffic well. The car starts easily every time and drives lovely with a nice smooth idle
In my ownership it has had:
- Reconditioned gearbox and new clutch
- New exhaust
- New rear springs
- Headlights
- Brake shoes and wheel cylinders
- Dizzy cap and leads
- Standard service stuff
Reason for sale is because I’ve bought a hillman imp that’s taking its place. I would consider a swap or px for something old or interesting that could be used daily
