Description
MERCEDES SLK 230 KOMPRESSOR (R107) IN LINARITE BLUE METALLIC.
V968ROC was originally registered overseas in 1999, I'm told the Channel Islands, but didn't stay there long, so it appears to have been a demonstrator. It was sold in 2000 by Malaya Mercedes (now Mercedes Gatwick) to it's first owners who kept it until December 2017. As you can see the original registration plates are still on the car. I know the plates look a bit dirty now but I love originality!
It then passed through a couple of owners quickly (one appears to have been a trader) then to a lady who owned from January 2020 until I bought it last year. The V5 says 5 previous owners. So, for a 'summer fun car' that often change hands every year or two this one has low ownership.
I bought this car as it was advertised as 'not your usual SLK Rot-box', and boy were they right! No rust at all around the usual places and the only minor bubbling, that has not broken the paint, just beyond the rear arches, it's so small you have to be looking for it. It won't get any worse now as I have cleaned out all the arches.
Mercedes luxury and reliability plus a Supercharger for MGF/ MX5 money, all ready for a 'top-down' Summer, what's not to like? Not a lot with this one!
All electrics work (roof, windows, mirrors, cruise, remote central locking, heated seats, original Mercedes CD player, cold air-con etc). Also has leather seats with very little wear, commensurate with the low mileage.
To prove the mileage there is not just the on-line MOT history but all MOT's back to the first one in 2003. In addition, the car has a full MB service history until 2018 at 84, 000 miles (both the receipts and stamped book). After that there are receipts showing evidence of maintenance, and I have just had the car fully serviced last month as per receipt pictured with new plugs, air filter, oil & filter, fluids etc. MOT's are completely advisory free 2021 to date including the one I've just had done that's valid until 18th May 2026 - It had an advisory for low brake pads, so I had those done, as per attached receipt.
So, brand new MOT last month, new battery in April and all 4 tyres were all replaced at 86, 700 miles, not long before I bought the car - They still have the pimples on the side walls!
Car is now 26 years old, so not immaculate, but a great example with low mileage, low owners, next to no rust, great history and everything working as it should!
The car comes with the full original MB book pack, 2 keys and a new MOT.
Grab yourself a 190bhp Supercharged Mercedes for MGF/ MX5 money just in time for the summer! To prove the mileage there is not just the on-line MOT history but all MOT's back to the first one in 2003.
