The car was completely re commissioned by renowned W123 specialist Mark Cosovich at W123 World in 2019-20 with around £5500 of genuine parts fitted, the list of parts and work is long and detailed.
Since coming into my ownership in 2020 I have taken the works a further step with no expense spared keeping the car original and everyday useable. All genuine Mercedes parts have been used or refurbished even down to a Mercedes battery. Where original parts were unavailable the part was professionally refurbished to maintain the originality of the car.
I had searched for the correct spec car for several years before finding this particular one, must haves were automatic gearbox, manual windows, electric sunroof, alloy wheels and of course the 2300cc engine.
The car has near new Michelin tires all round and spare on refurbished original Mex Hat wheels, the original first aid kit, original Becker radio and new Beru auto aerial.
I have sympathetically upgraded the stereo system with 4 new speakers and a retro DAB head unit with telephone handsfree the original Becker unit will come with the car. The original Mercedes tool kit is present and fully intact.
With the car being 40 years young it is now registered as a Historic Vehicle, MOT testing in no longer required although they are all present up to this year with no advisory. The car is also road tax exempt and ULEZ compliant.
