Description
1967 Norton 650SS
Excellent condition in Standard specification, except for External Oil Filter, Mirrors and Boyer Electronic Ignition.
Matching frame and engine numbers of 18SS 123097 correct for 650SS
only 32783 genuine Miles
Bought from a private seller in 1976, owned and looks after by myself since then.
Maintenance has included regular oil and filter change, new piston rings with minimal honing, new SS Ex valves, bronze IN valve guides, Spark plugs, kick start and gear lever both have an oil seal in outer cover, New Chrome wheel rims, SS spokes, Avon Roadrunner tyres, various parts new chrome plating, Frame and ancillaries repainted. A standard spec 650SS in excellent condition, The mud guards are original and therefore of the correct profile. Always starts first/ second kick and runs beautifully. Great to ride, as you would expect from the "last of the featherbed frame era", Taken to the IOM Classic several times. I have always admired the 650SS since seeing several of them in the IOM in 1967 they were all standard but for different colour petrol tanks, A very reluctant sale due to advancing years.
P. S. No extra charge for the MAD number plate !
