Descrição
2003 C4S Manual in Basalt Black with Boxster Red interior.
Previously owned/ maintained/ rebuilt by Hartech, 2014-15 @79k miles.
I’ve owned the 996 for nearly 4 years and 14k miles. During my ownership the car has had £10k+ of maintenance, via local specialists.
I’ve throughly enjoyed owning and improving the car, having completed several long European road trips in her without a glitch.
The Boxster Red interior adds a touch of colour and separates this car from the usual silver/ black or black/ black combinations. Always a talking point at Coffee and Car meets, it gives the car a sense individuality and identity.
This C4S previously belonged to Hartech during 2014-2015, before being sold to a friend of the Service manager, who continued to use Hartech for servicing until 2019.
My understanding is the car was subject to a full Hartech rebuild @ 79k miles, including the larger 997 IMS Bearing, Re-coated Pistons, Big Ends, Thrust Bearing, Main Bearings, Chains and guides and 6 x Nikasil Cylinders. Unfortunately there isn’t a build sheet/ invoice for the engine, just a note in the service history, as it was done internally.
I do have invoices for Post rebuild oil change and checks @ 100 & 2000 miles.
The car also features in Some of Unique Porsche’s Early Youtube Videos. Unique Porsche being set up by the same Ex Hartech Service Manager.
Condition
I’d describe the car as in good usable condition. The car presents very well and is mechanically up together. I bought this 911 to drive and enjoy, it’s not a show queen. That being said, it can hold its own at any Car & Coffee but cosmetically it’s not perfect.
The panels are all straight and ding free, but most of the car has had paint at some point in its life. It polishes up nicely and looks clean for a 23 year old car, but please don’t expect a factory fresh finish.
During my ownership both rear arches have been repaired by Beaulieu Garage with photos available.
The off side rear arch has one spot that will require attention again.
The roof has suffered from some micro blistering and the front arches are just starting to show signs of corrosion from stone chips on the inner lips.
Both of these issues will need addressing at some point, but don’t detract from the overall look of the car.
The interior again presents well for a 23 year old 996 with 120k+ miles. No rips or tears or heavily scratched surfaces.
I’ve Driven the car on various road trips, including; Stuttgart & Black Forest, South of France & Swiss/ Austrian/ Italian Alps. The car has been utterly dependable on all of these trips and a joy to drive. The Milltek silencers add to the theatre, but unlike some of the cheaper exhaust systems, don't drone at motorway speeds.
I also have a set of Genuine and rare Factory roof bars, Genuine car cover and a spare Boxster red steering wheel that could be available by separate negotiation.

All MOT advisories have been dealt with.
Previous to my ownership the car has been correctly maintained throughout its life with 17 Service Stamps, including 4-5 years with Hartech and an A4 Ring Binder of receipts to back it up. This includes a Clutch, Coffin Arms and various usual 996 jobs over the last 10 years.
The car is MOT’d until April 2026.
911 Box now ticked, I’d possibly consider something interesting in P/ X. Preferably 80’s/ 90’s German stuff. Maybe e90/ e46 M3?
