Last of VOLVO Brand VOLVOs before FORD and the Chinese started building the VOLVO brand. Built on the P80 Platform following the success of the 800 series, S70 and MK1 V70.
A 2005 SOFT TOP Mark 1 C70. The later Tin top C70 Mk2 were basically a Ford Focus CC.
I purchased this car OCT 2021, it had a poor "lockdown" sat at the rear of a second hand car dealers in Glasgow after the roof had failed.
This became my SUMMER daily runner and a Winter restoration project over the past 4 years.
Garaged from October to March in my ownership the car has had a complete brake system refurbishment and a total suspension rebuild, replacing ALL components.
On 10/ 04/ 2024 the timing belt, tensioners, pulleys and water pump were replaced. ALL filters, spark plugs were replaced and oil changed. Before this the car was serviced every year prior to MOT.
It's a 2. 0L Turbo (163 Bhp) model, totally original and not messed with, factory spec. everything works as it should.
The exception is the Anthracite Grey alloy wheels which were refurbished to this colour in Summer 2024.
The body work has gravel rash, stone chips and starting to show signs of rust on wheel arch edges and below the windows, but overall the car is in fair condition.
The car drives very well, being a Volvo it's reliable.
Only available for sale as I have the opportunity to own a T5. Having owned, worked on and restored Volvo's for the last 30 years I want to take up this T5 opportunity. This C70 represents fantastic value for money and is a great investment.
